Good Morning Everyone!
(It’s always “morning”
when you have the best part of your day ahead!)
I remember the day well in Arkansas 2002.
My wife Nancy, (deceased), and I
were having a discussion one Saturday morning.
She lovingly reminded me that we did not
have a relationship with God and that
we didn’t have a church to call “home.”
I agreed and we started looking for a “home.”
The important part of this is that I had asked
God to restore my relationship with Him…
nothing else mattered that I had done before.
God indeed restored my relationship with Him!
He added back all the ministries that I had done before…
but being called into the ministry as a Pastor was NOT on my list!
But it was on His list though!
I was born and raised in Nebraska…
which makes me a Cornhusker!
I went to college in Arkansas and
stayed in Arkansas for many years…
lots of good fishing and hunting there!
I have two wonderful kids and
5 equally wonderful grandchildren!
I was working in Missouri when God called
me into the ministry and that still is the beginning
(not the end) of my being a Pastor!
I had the opportunity to move back to Arkansas,
ministering to a wonderful group of people for eight years.
God brought Daphne to me…at the church!
Daphne is now my wife and my best friend!
She may not fish or ride horses…
but she supports me when I do.
My favorite hobby though…
is Team Roping.
In this life that God has given to us,
it’s important that we stay sensitive as to what God’s will is for our lives.
In saying that, I was called to be the Pastor at the
First Christian Church in Durant, Ok.
They are a GREAT group of people
that I just really enjoy being with…and serving!
The COVID Pandemic has hit us all very hard.
We want you to know that our church takes your health seriously,
as well as your Spirit.
We maintain Social Distancing and wear masks at our
Worship Service each Sunday morning at 10:45,
All are welcome to come worship with us.
We’d enjoy meeting you!
